About Me
I’m an adaptable and curious Product & UX Designer who loves turning complexity into tools that people enjoy using. Over 12+ years, my design career progressed from agency to media/entertainment, legal, and now enterprise SaaS.
My path began in architecture where I honed my design thinking and learned that form follows function. After that, I worked in I.T. where I developed my systems thinking, technical skills, and user empathy.
I see AI as a collaborator that, when designed responsibly, helps people move faster while maintaining control. I use it to synthesize feedback, iterate designs, and augment concepts, always keeping humans at the center of decision-making.
Today, I use this experience to design thoughtful, useful digital tools that drive business success and improve lives. Outside of work, I live in a quiet Los Angeles neighborhood with my wife and a cute but very opinionated dog.

I had the privilege of managing Quito during his time as a Lead UX Designer at ADP, and he was one of those rare designers who combine precision in craft with a deeply collaborative mindset. His attention to detail is exceptional—he approaches every design challenge with curiosity and rigor, ensuring that even the most complex user flows feel clear and intuitive.
I always admired his approach to problem-solving. He never jumped straight to pixels; instead, he sought to understand the broader context, align with product and engineering, and co-create solutions that balanced user needs with business and technical realities. He made collaboration effortless—always thoughtful in critique, generous with ideas, and proactive in unblocking the team.
While Quito was one of my go-to individual contributors, I always relied on him in leadership skills as well -- in helping co-facilitate design sessions and interview design candidates for our team.
Beyond his design skills, Quito brought calm energy and dependability to the team. You could trust him to handle ambiguity, mentor junior designers, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal direction. He strengthened our design culture by modeling collaboration, thoughtfulness, and follow-through.
I really hope our paths cross again so we can collaborate on more design projects.

Quito shows up to work everyday to make a difference, he is result oriented and, given a clear goal, will do everything possible to deliver, communicating and collaborating with others along the way. He goes above and beyond to create transparency and bring alignment among stakeholders to inform next steps on his work and retain focus on the desired business outcomes. As a Team member he is very approachable and a mature individual, with an open, direct and honest communication style. It was an honor for me to be able to support him on his professional journey!

Quito brings an incredible wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. He is also a rare breed, marrying deep technical understanding with boundless ideas and creativity. His fundamental knowledge and curiosity of how things work – both as an architectural and UX designer – make him a real asset. Quito has effortlessly floated between experience and interaction design for our products on iOS, Android, Xbox, Roku and other platforms. No small feat. He brings the highest level of professionalism, communication and insight to the office on a daily basis. On top of that, he's a joy to work with and a fantastic person.

I had the pleasure of working with Quito for four years and was consistently impressed by his rapid grasp of complex concepts, especially as he navigated the Workforce Management space with remarkable speed and depth. From the start, he brought a sharp design sensibility and a user-first mindset that truly elevated our work.
Quito isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo—always advocating for solutions that enhance the user experience without compromising on accessibility or usability. His design thinking is both strategic and detail-oriented; he’s able to zoom out for a high-level product vision while also diving into the fine details of interface interactions and user flows.
He collaborates exceptionally well with Product and Development teams, helping bridge gaps between vision and execution. He communicates ideas and design rationale with clarity and confidence, making it easy for cross-functional teams to align and move forward.
Quito would be an incredible asset to any team looking for a thoughtful, user-centric, and technically-savvy designer.

For a few months now, Quito and I have been working on an incredibly complicated project together at ADP.
I was introduced to him by a UX Director who thought that some of the work that Quito was doing would be a great way to approach the current problem that I was working on. Once introduced, he explained his approach, how to do it, why it makes sense, how others can leverage it as well as how it can help team alignment. His processes, throughout the lifecycle of the project, helped to keep things organized, understandable, consistent and reusable for other teams. He contributed a TON of great ideas to help the project move forward throughout the various challenges.
These abilities clearly show Quito’s skill, organization, talent and maturity of as a UXD. Working with him has helped me grow considerably as a UXD – and for that I am truly grateful.
Thanks Quito for all your help, it was really awesome to work with you on that project and I hope we get to collaborate again soon.

When I’m not shaping and designing experiences, I’m out capturing and documenting experiences in the world around me with photography. Below are some photos I’ve taken over 2 decades.
All photos shot on real cameras (some film), and not mobile phones! :)
